If you are a PPETN member and did not receive the e-mail, log onto the East Tennessee Photographer’s Forum. The download link is available in the members-only section. Also, make sure to e-mail us so that we can make sure your name in on our mailing list.

 Future Seniors

Brian & Deb Crussell

Future Seniors

Join Brian and Deb to “think about the future” in approaching senior portraits. Brian is always trying to stay ahead of the current trends in photography and watches carefully what is happening all across the United States, not just in his own back yard. It is so important to keep things fresh and to set ourselves apart. These days, it is more than just a “pretty picture” to bring seniors, children and familes into your studio.

March 14th, 2008

We would like to thank Llew Wenzel for coming and speaking to our group! It was quite informative even to those of us who don’t shoot sports photography. The great thing about our profession is how ideas can carry over into so many different photographic styles and genres.

We’ve invited Llew to come and answer questions over at our community forum. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss what was presented, please stop on by!

The SMPP/PPETN “Photographer of the Year” will be awarded to the person who has accumulated the highest number of points throughout the calendar year. This award is based on each member’s efforts as they present their work to their piers, and the votes of their piers. This allows us to challenge each other to continue to improve our work throughout the year.

Winners will be announced here in the blog, as well as on our Community Forum. Several members have asked if we can discuss prints that either won, or didn’t so they can understand what people liked/disliked about prints submitted. Since we have such a short amount of time during monthly meetings, and don’t want to take away from the speaker’s time, we will post winning images (and non-winning images upon request) in the Community Forum where we can dicuss the images in greater detail!

Community Forum

March 10th, 2008

We now have our new community forum online!

Here we will have news, information, up-coming events, and membership information. This is a fourm for professional photographers to share with each other, and discuss photography. Active SMPP/PPETN members can post images to be critiqued by other members as well.

We will list regional, state, and national information pertaining to photographers. We may also have our monthly speakers stop by to answer questions about their seminars. This will be a spot where photographers from across the region can meet online to discuss the art they love.

The forum is new, so stop on by, register, and help us build a resource that hopefully will grow to be the site that regional photographers go to for information. Please excuse the boxes as we unpack in our new location and build upon our new name!
